Ramadan 1447 (2026) Is Coming — Here Is Our Full Plan and How You Can Help

Ramadan 1447 is approaching. Al-Shifah Charity Foundation has already begun planning our most ambitious Ramadan programme yet — building on the lessons and success of 1445 (2025). Here is our complete 2026 Ramadan plan: Feeding Programme (Two Locations — Damaturu & Kano): This year we are doubling our production capacity at both feeding points. Our menu includes Akara Balls (budget: ₦170,000), Panke (₦120,000), Kunu including Kunun gyada (₦254,000), and a new category — OTHERS — including rice, spices, oil and itche for a complete hot meal (₦208,000). Total feeding programme budget: ₦752,000. Chilled Water Distribution: Last year we distributed 5 bags of sachet water per day at mosques. This year we are scaling to 10 bags per day throughout Ramadan — because no fasting soul should break their fast without cold water in the Northern heat. Budget: ₦120,000. Raw Food Hampers: Rice, millet, and sugar packages for families who cannot attend our feeding points. Budget: ₦162,000. Cash Disbursements: For the first time at scale, we will distribute ₦5,000 cash to at least 20 beneficiaries — widows, orphans, and elderly people who need direct financial support during Eid. Budget: ₦100,000. Total 2026 Ramadan Budget: ₦1,134,000 Last year we raised and spent ₦891,600. This year we need ₦1,134,000 to execute our full plan. The gap is real. The need is real.
